We summarize the week’s results at the Haifa Association for Immigrants Absorptione.
Last Wednesday, with the support of the Jewish Agency Sochnut, the annual job fair took place.
About 60 employers presented their businesses and job offers. Most of them are the driving force of Israel’s economy: pharmaceutical companies, healthcare, industrial enterprises, the aerospace industry, and the police. More than a thousand new immigrants – job seekers – visited the fair.
The Ministry of Aliyah and Integration prepared a pleasant bonus for participants – assistance in composing personalized resumes for anyone interested.
The mayor of the city, Yona Yaav, who greeted the fair participants, reminded the relevant authorities of the importance of paying attention and providing specific assistance to immigrants who are seeking employment.
In his speech, the head of the city’s Integration Office, Kirill Karetnik, emphasized the necessity of such events: “Needless to say, job searching for an immigrant is a cornerstone of the already challenging process of integration into a new country. I am grateful for the openness and responsiveness of all the organizations present, which are ready to hire our new citizens. For our part, we will continue to expand support areas, paying special attention to employment.”
