The Home Front Command has updated the instructions for the Haifa area, establishing defense level 2 (yellow). Accordingly:
- Haifa’s education system will start operating from tomorrow (Monday, September 30) in a partial format, depending on the number of standard protected spaces that can be reached within one minute. Each class or kindergarten invited by the head of the educational institution for in-person learning will hold a full school day, including daytime activities. Other students will learn remotely using the “Google Meet” platform.
- School and kindergarten directors will inform parents daily about the distribution system before the start of the school day.
- The Haifa municipality and emergency services are on high alert due to the upcoming holidays, which begin this Wednesday. As part of this preparation, representatives of the municipality and the Home Front Command will update instructions and hold meetings with the heads of the city’s ultra-Orthodox communities.
- Tomorrow (Monday) from 15:00 to 17:00, representatives of the Home Front Command will set up information posts in three key areas of the city: near Beit HaKranot in Hadar, on Achi Eilat Street in Kiryat Haim, and at Meirov Square in Kiryat Eliezer. There, they will provide residents with detailed instructions on using the “Home Front Command” app.
