The education system in Haifa is preparing to resume full operations

    24/06/2025
Dear immigrants, the education system in Haifa is preparing to resume full operations tomorrow (Wednesday), provided that the Home Front Command officially lifts the current restrictions. We expect updates in the coming hours.

Preparations for the buildings have already begun today: cleaning and checking shelters in schools that were used as temporary refuges are underway.

    Important information:

    • Tomorrow’s school day will begin with activities aimed at providing emotional support for children: helping them express their feelings, relieve tension, and return to their usual routine.
    • Transportation for special education students will not operate in the morning due to the late announcement, but will resume at noon. These institutions will not provide meals, so we ask parents to prepare in advance.
    • Extended daycare in kindergartens and elementary schools will resume operations. However, lunch will not be provided on Wednesday — please ensure your child has food.
    • Summer camps at schools are ready to launch. Registration deadlines have been extended to give parents more time to organize.
    • Starting tomorrow, the following will return to normal operations:
      • district centers
      • libraries
      • sports halls
      • clubs, youth movements, and teen centers

    Mayor of Haifa, Yona Yahav:

“Education is the foundation of resilience. I thank everyone who maintained contact with children during the days of anxiety, and those who are helping to bring them back to a safe and supportive environment. We are here — in every district, kindergarten, and school.”

Contacts of the Haifa Association for Immigrants Absorption:

Sincerely, Haifa Association for Immigrants Absorption
