Yesterday, the Haifa Association for Immigrants Absorption hosted an event that promises to be a turning point in the lives of many new immigrants. A mini job fair, organized for graduates of initial ulpan courses, opened doors to professional growth and integration into Israeli society.A place where opportunities become reality
About 20 employers, including Bank Leumi, YD LABS, and the health funds Leumit, Meuhedet, Clalit, and many other leading companies, gathered under one roof to offer job opportunities to the city’s new residents. Participants not only learned about available positions but also received professional advice from representatives of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration and experts from the Maof company.
However, the most valuable aspect was not just the list of vacancies but the atmosphere of support, practical assistance, and new connections. Each participant received personalized attention: recommendations for adaptation, advice on creating resumes, and preparation for interviews.
“Haifa is a city for everyone”
The event concluded with a unique seminar led by an employment psychologist. Participants shared their fears and hopes and received actionable tools for a successful start in the Israeli labor market in return.
“We know how difficult it is to take the first step, but it is always the most important one,” noted the head of the Haifa Association for Immigrants Absorption, City Council Member Kirill Karetnik. “Haifa is a city that supports. We don’t just offer help; we create an environment where everyone can find their place. Today we saw dozens of sincere smiles, and that is our best result. We will continue to organize such events because we believe that aliyah is not a challenge but a new beginning.”
The mini job fair became not only a place to find work but also a symbol of collaborative efforts. Representatives of businesses, government, and the local community demonstrate that helping immigrants is not a duty but a contribution to the development of the entire city.
“These events remind us that behind the official terms ‘immigrant’ and ‘vacancy’ are people. Each of them has a unique story, dreams, and aspirations. Our administration does everything to make Haifa not just a point on the map but a home for new residents,” added Karetnik.
The mini job fair ended, but its participants left with new hopes, contacts, and confidence in the future. As one participant noted, “Every event like this proves that we are welcomed and valued here.”
The Haifa Association for Immigrants Absorption is already preparing new projects and events. They understand here that successful integration is not just about helping on the first day but providing ongoing support on the path to a full life in Israel.
