Important information about shelters and Carmel stations in Haifa

    27/09/2024
The Haifa municipality continues to actively prepare for possible emergencies by equipping public shelters for citizens. The full list of public shelters can be found on Haifa’s website via the link below. However, it is important to note that not all Carmel stations can serve as shelters during an alert.

Which Carmel stations are suitable for shelter:

    • Station “HaNeviim”, 22 HaNeviim St.
    • Station “HaNeviim 1”
    • Station “Masada”, 29 Masada St.
    • Station “Golomb”, 35 Golomb St.
    • Station “Merkaz HaCarmel”, 122 HaNassi St.

Important: DownTown and City Hall stations are not intended for shelter. In case of an alert, they may be closed, and during nighttime or Shabbat — they will not be accessible.

Mass shelters in underground parking lots:

The Home Front Command has approved parking lots, starting from the indicated floor and below, as protected spaces to use in case of an alert. The full list of parking lots adapted for shelters is also available via this link: https://www.haifa-during-emergency.co.il/ru/убежища-в-общественных-зонах-предназ/

    Stay safe and stay informed!
