To certify copies of documents and diplomas, it is not necessary to contact a lawyer or pay for services. There is also no need to translate the diploma if it is written in Russian, Ukrainian, or English.
Appointment for certification
You can schedule a certification appointment through the Personal Account of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration by contacting your advisor.
Certification procedure
An employee of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration certifies copies of documents and places a special stamp. The service is provided free of charge.
Important: You must bring copies and originals of diplomas, as well as grade sheets.
Additionally, you need to have copies of the following documents:
- Teudat Zehut
- Teudat Oleh
- Additional documents (e.g., certificates of name change, marriage, or divorce)
Sending certified copies
After certification, copies can be scanned and sent through the personal account on the Ministry of Education website.
Next steps
After certifying the documents, the advisor places a stamp, and you can contact the curator at the Haifa City Integration Office. The curator will help submit the documents to the Ministry of Education for degree confirmation (not to be confused with licensing).
There are two types of professions:
- Licensed: require a more complex and lengthy process.
- Unlicensed: the procedure is described above.
In both cases, documents are first sent to the Ministry of Education for degree confirmation.
After confirming education, you can look for a job that requires the appropriate qualifications.
Licensed professions
If the profession is licensed, after confirming the degree with the Ministry of Education, you need to contact the relevant ministry responsible for licensing.
The curator can assist with submitting documents for degree recognition.
Requirements for obtaining a license vary depending on the relevant ministry. For details, you need to contact the respective ministry directly.
Unlicensed professions
If you do not plan to work in a profession requiring a license, it is sufficient to simply confirm the degree.
