To facilitate the repatriation process, you need to complete certain procedures and gather documents before moving to Israel.
If you already have a visa from the consul
After passing the consular check in your country of origin:
- Contact the Jewish Agency (Sohnut), which:
- Provides plane tickets with luggage for all new immigrants.
- Helps with general coordination of actions.
- Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport:
- NATIV staff will issue you a Teudat Oleh (certificate of new immigrant).
- You will be accompanied by Integration Department coordinators and an advisor from the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration.
If you are immigrating urgently (as a tourist)
In this case:
- You purchase tickets yourself and arrive at Ben Gurion Airport.
- Upon arrival:
- You undergo a preliminary document check by NATIV staff.
- You receive a personal number to schedule a consular check in Israel (waiting time: 2-12 weeks).
- After the consular check:
- You schedule an appointment to receive a Teudat Zehut (waiting time: 0-21 days).
- You schedule an appointment to receive a Teudat Oleh (waiting time: 0-45 days).
- After receiving the Teudat Oleh, you will get the contact information of Integration Department coordinators.
